Golf Handi — Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Your name, email address, scores, and course entries are stored in the app's database on your device. When you create your account, your email and posted rounds are also stored on Golf Handi's account server so your Handicap record can be recovered on any phone (see §3). We collect nothing else. Location is used on-device to sort courses by distance and suggest the course you're playing; it is never stored in your rounds or transmitted.

2. What leaves your device

• Course searches are processed by Apple Maps under Apple's privacy policy.
• Purchases are processed by Apple; we receive entitlement status and an anonymous account token, never payment details.
• Crash and diagnostic reports reach us only if you share a problem report, or through Apple's opt-in analytics sharing.
• When you add a course, its name is sent to our course-ratings service to fetch that course's published ratings — no personal data is included.
• Your account (email, name) and posted rounds sync to Golf Handi's account server — hosted on Cloudflare — to deliver backup, recovery, and multi-device access. Passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes.

3. Retention & deletion

Data lives on your device until you delete it. Your account and rounds are also stored on our servers so they can be recovered from any phone while your account is live. If you delete your account, the device copy is removed immediately and the server copy is retained for 45 days — log back in within that window to restore it — after which everything is permanently erased. Uninstalling the app deletes its on-device data.

4. Your choices

Location permission is optional (iOS Settings ▸ Privacy). Email is collected at registration; you may delete the account at any time. To revoke diagnostics consent, don't share problem reports and disable Share With App Developers in iOS Settings.

5. Third parties

Apple (Maps, App Store, analytics) under Apple's terms. No advertising networks, no tracking, no data sales.

6. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13.
